Blog Beautification

It's a slow process, but I'm getting there! Just wanted to post so that any one who visits and checks on updated blogs through NRD will check in on this puppy, and it's new look. It's no where near complete, obviously. I'm not sure yet whether I'll add links or not. We'll see, we'll see. That's all I wanted to say. Peace out!

NOTE: You may need to click on the link above titled "Main" to actually see the new blog look, if you arrived at this sole post (you actually went to the archived version of this post).

mmmmmmmm...ooolives

This was another shot taken the same night as the shots in the previous post. Just one this time though. I doubt there will be much disappointment however. Just look. That's all this blog is here fore anyhow...

These pictures are old.

I wont post them all at once. One night, probably this past winter, I got out the old Kodak DCS 300, slapped on a macro (micro) lens and had fun with close ups and settings. Photography can simply be amusing to change the settings and see what comes out. It's especially fun when you get immediate results. Anyhow this is the first of a three part series of photos (not too many), that I took that night, just messing around with random props...

B&W

I went for a walk today, exploring the area. I took the camera along, partially so I could get some cool shots to possibly use for this blog, partially to have an excuse to not jog, but instead walk at a "moderate" pace. It's too hot for any sort of vigorous exercise today anyhow. I ended up walking to a local park, on the "other" side of the Raritan, which for me means New Brunswick. I took some shots but was disappointed with my camera. It's a fairly old digital camera, and a lot of the pictures turn out washed out and tinted blue. So I decided to grey scale all of them, and use photoshop to do the equivalent of what film photographers do in the dark room, by messing with contrasts and color adjustments.

This is my favorite from the album...I think. It's hard to say. I enjoy being able to modify my pictures, especially since I can't do so while using the camera because it is an automatic. You can view the entire album here.

I Had To

I know animated gifs can annoy a lot of people, but damnit, some of them are all right! I had to make one anyhow, because I don't know flash yet, and I stumbled across two pictures that needed to be united by the powerful forces of the animated gif. It was the only way. And so, without further ado, I give you my latest piece of "art"...

The First Entries

Always Suck!

I think it's some rule of thumb. I'll add a picture I took recently and like a lot, just so this entry isn't sucky and completely useless. ;-)
