John's Thoughts

"So you go both ways."

Is what John had to say when I told him I was getting a Macintosh.

My Power Mac Cube came via UPS today! Check out the pics! I still need to get a better desk set up. I'll probably get another monitor - the windows machine (next to the monitor in the last pic) has a two-head video adapter, so I could have three monitors on my desk.

By the way, I posted this from the Mac.

Dear John,

This isn't a real "dear John" letter, although sometimes you get to be so geeky that I am tempted to write one to you. :P'

No, this is just me saying how much I love you, and how glad I am that you're getting a new car and computer and that I truly am jazzed about all of this. I think it's cause I know I wont have to drive you around anymore, and I wont have to hear you shriek everyday when you remember that you're Mac is on the way. These things alone make me happy. Also though, and less selfishly, I'm just happy that you're getting all this cool stuff. You lucky bastard! Now I better have a computer to use when I come over to visit you.

Love (and still your girlfriend),

Kate

Somehow I can't picture John shrieking. I picture more of an evil laugh thing going on. Oh well.

Oh, trust me, he can shriek like the best of them. It's like a scary little hyper-child has taken over his body when he does it. His eyes get all wide and his mouth get's locked into an open position in which MOST of his teeth are in full view. And he jumps and twitches as he shrieks. At first when he'd do it I thought he was having a seisure. But then I realized he was just acting really excited about something. He doesn't shriek for many people, but if you brought him over a bag of beef jerkey and a liter of Dr. Pepper I'm pretty sure he'd shriek when he saw you handing it to him.

Does he make the same face when he's.........you know?

No, wait, don't tell me. I don't want to know...
