Right wing neocons loved Reeve

The message boards on FreeRepublic.com (please visit if you enjoy lowering your IQ) discussed Christopher Reeve's death. Mind you, the people that frequent FreeRepublic are typically neoconservative Christian fundamentalists, all yearning for "Four More Years."

Digby has a post with some of the vile comments made. Mind you: this is after the mods cleaned up the posts, so there were likely comments that were far worse than the ones remaining.

Conglomopost

This accurately portrays me and my sentiments towards wal-mart.

So, I have a class that's composed of grads and undergrads. The undergrads annoy me.

There is one guy: picture the lead guy from Office Space, but hairier. Everytime the professor mentions that "you can make money off of real estate," he looks over at someone else and nods like "yeah, THAT'S what i'm about." I hate him.

Secondish, there is one guy with really wide set eyes. I don't like him either. Everytime there is a break, he turns around and stares at the women sitting behind him.

Thirdly, there are too many people there "too cool (kewl lol omg) for school" and that they need to "leave the drama to their mama" and other catchy jingoistic catch phrases to go with their very contemporary style and manner in which they preen themselves as if a modeling agent was around every corner. (Yes, i'm talking about the men.)

My birthday is coming up. Get me some candy.

Delaware and Raritan Computer Screwup

Yesterday, I took a bike ride on the Delaware and Raritan Canal Towpath. I left here about 3pm, and I got into Princeton at six. I rode on the towpath for about 23 miles, then rode down 27 to Princeton, and took the train back. I didn't have a camera with me, but I plan on riding the path again, starting earlier in the day and hopefully finishing in Trenton.

Also, every day that passes I get more and more frustrated with Windows/x86 architecture. First, my old motherboard got wonky and I replaced it. I also had to send my 80GB hard drive back to Western Digital because it died on me. Just the other night, about two weeks after I put the computer back together, the computer flat out stopped working. I'd get the NT Blue Screen saying my new motherboard was not ACPI compliant. Not likely. I updated the motherboard BIOS, same error. So now, I have a hard drive hooked up to the PC lying outside of the case because I have begun the hard drive mambo, where I install/reinstall Windows multiple times, juggling hard drives so I don't lose data again, as did happen when the 80GB died.

So, a brief summary; Fuck Microsoft and Yay! Apple.

25th Post... this blog isn't dead!

I've decided that I will again be using this blog. I'm probably going to use it to discuss items of interest on the internet, promote I Love New Jersey and post about nifty technical/hackerish things I do.

I intend, in the next few days, to formulate a way to promote the Firefox browser. I will likely do this by modifying the index of my website to add an annoying pop up if the person is viewing the site with Internet Explorer. This is done by reading the HTTP Referer (intentionally spelled wrong, that's how it is).

Actually, I think I'll work on it now.

"So you go both ways."

Is what John had to say when I told him I was getting a Macintosh.

My Power Mac Cube came via UPS today! Check out the pics! I still need to get a better desk set up. I'll probably get another monitor - the windows machine (next to the monitor in the last pic) has a two-head video adapter, so I could have three monitors on my desk.

By the way, I posted this from the Mac.
